Privacy Policy

The short version. We keep the little we need to run an auction:
your email, your brand kit, and what you bid. We do not sell it and we do not run
advertising trackers.
What we collect
- A session identifier stored in a cookie so the site remembers you between visits.
It is signed and contains no personal data.
- Your email address, once you choose to sign in. We use it to identify you, to
send sign-in codes and receipts, and to tell you when you have been outbid.
- Your brand kit: name, tagline, website, colours and any images, video or audio
you upload. This is shown publicly on the screen while you hold a position.
- Your bidding activity: amounts, timing and how long you held a position. Bids
and positions are public by design.
- Click counts on the outbound link you supply. We count visits we send you. We do
not identify who clicked.
- Chat messages you send, shown publicly with your display name.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
Payments
Card details never reach us. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of
record, who process your payment information under their own privacy policy. We keep a
record of the amount, the time and whether it succeeded.
Who processes your data
- Cloudflare hosts the service, stores the database and uploaded files, and
delivers email. Data is processed on their global network.
- Dodo Payments processes payments.
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Account and brand data is kept while your account is open. Bidding history is kept as a
public record of the auction. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules
require. Sign-in codes are deleted as soon as they are used or expire.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your
account. Public auction history may be retained in anonymised form so past results stay
accurate. Email hello@lettheworld.com and we will respond within 30
days.
Children
The service is not for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
Material changes will be posted here with a new date and, where we have your email,
sent to you.
